Industrial Power Systems

Solar Powered Parking Meters

Amano-McGann

After landing a contract to provide solar-powered parking meters, Amano-McGann turned to Ameresco Solar for development and fabrication of self-contained, off-grid power systems with battery backups. Two systems were developed, including one with solar-powered lighting.

Off-grid solar powered water pump

Burt’s Ranch

With more than a mile between the closest well and the residence, Burt’s Ranch in Bracketsville, Texas needed a more efficient way to collect water. With a remote solar water system from Ameresco Solar and a new storage tank, all of the ranch’s water needs are served with free, renewable energy.

Advances in photovoltaic panel technology now allow industrial enterprises to locate operations where they’re needed, rather than moving sites to the closest available source of grid-tied power.

Industrial solar power gets the job done where it needs to be done, from solar-powered water pumps in remote drilling and ranch operations to self-contained office facilities to telecommunications towers on hillsides. Solar power systems eliminate the cost and time associated with bringing power to site, and Ameresco Solar can design systems that will operate reliably in the world’s most-demanding climates.

Off-Grid Solar Pumping System in Oklahoma

FEATURED CASE STUDY:
R & A MOORE, INC.

As gas wells age, fluid buildup in the well bore can hamper or shut down production. R & A Moore needed a way to pump water out of a remote, 7,500-foot-deep gas well, and asked Ameresco Solar to create an off-grid power system that could operate a three-horsepower well pump.

Using free, renewable solar energy provides a more cost-effective solution than propane or gasoline. As a direct solar system, the pump reaches its peak power during midday and shuts down at night. Since its installation, gas production at the well has increased by more than 50%.
